Poco M4 Pro 5G: Xiaomi dresses up the Redmi Note 11 with a very aggressive price

Specialist in affordable smartphones, Poco has just made the Poco M4 Pro 5G official. The brand derived from Xiaomi was very inspired by the Redmi Note 11 to offer a rather well-equipped model at a reasonable price.

The battle rages on in the entry or mid-range segment and Poco has decided to step into the breach. As usual, the Chinese brand relies on a careful technical sheet and an affordable price to convince young people in particular. The method is reminiscent of that used by Honor to make a name for itself in Europe or even its parent company Xiaomi. Poco has officially distanced itself, like Redmi, from the Chinese giant to become an independent brand. However, it is difficult not to have a certain proximity with the Redmi Note 11 that Xiaomi has just presented in China. The two smartphones have many things in common, starting with the design.

The Poco M4 Pro 5G does not really surprise, but its aesthetic meets the codes of 2021. There is a large flat and pierced shine screen that the manufacturer protects with Gorilla Glass 3. At the back, a photo block and underlined by the “POCO” logo. The first 5G model in the “M” range, it measures 163.56 mm high, 75.78 mm wide and 8.75 mm thick, for a weight of 195 g. Despite its modern design, it retains a 3.5mm mini-jack and a microSD slot.

An interesting technical sheet, an affordable price

If you enjoyed the features of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11, there is a good chance that you will be interested in this Poco smartphone. The Poco M4 Pro 5G comes with a 6.6-inch IPS (LCD) panel, with Full HD + definition (1,080 × 2,400 pixels) and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Inside, the brand makes call for a MediaTek Dimensity 810 chip to provide 5G compatibility. It comes with 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage in UFS 2.2. It is possible to expand the storage up to 1TB using a microSD card.

The photo part is based on a main sensor of 50 Mpx whose lens opens at f / 1.8. Poco has chosen to accompany it with an ultra wide-angle 8 Mpx (f / 2.2) while the punch located at the front accommodates a 16 Mpx (f / 2.45) sensor. As on the Xiaomi smartphone, a 5000 mAh battery compatible with fast charging at 33 W is offered. The AC adapter is provided by the manufacturer which promises a full recharge in 59 minutes.
