Persona 5 Royal Coming to PS5 and Steam, and Persona 4 Golden to PS4

Atlus announces that Persona 5 Royal is on its way to the PlayStation 5. Persona 4 Golden is also coming to PlayStation 4 and Persona 3 Portable is coming to PS4 and PC, via Steam.

Recently, the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC versions of some Persona games were announced; Persona 5 Royal is the first to act. That game will come to the above consoles on October 21, but also to PlayStation 5 (and Steam) on the same, Atlus announced.

Persona 4 Golden doesn’t stick to just an Xbox version either; the game will be released simultaneously for the PlayStation 4. Persona 3 Portable will in turn be released for PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam. Both games are scheduled for 2023, an exact release date has not yet been given. In any case, the different versions of Persona 4 Golden will be released on the same day, and the same goes for the versions of Persona 3 Portable.

Gematsu reports that Persona’s Japanese website states that Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable will only be available as a digital download. There are no comments on the English website.

It’s still unclear whether the Xbox Series X/S versions of the games were made specifically for those consoles, or whether they’ll be playable via backward compatibility. After all, no PlayStation 5 versions of Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable have been announced. Developer Atlus has not clarified that yet.
